This is the Day

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Today is a gift. He made this very day for a reason. God didn’t create today just because it is another period of time where the sun rises and sets. He has something big planned for today. He doesn’t want us to sit around and go through the motions. Someone needs help but is too afraid to reach out. Someone needs to learn about Jesus today. Someone just wants someone to say hello to them. Someone needs someone to believe in them. What do you feel called to do today? Who needs help? Where can you make someone’s day better?

We all go through days where we do things that we know we shouldn’t do. We fall into the same trap again and again. We want to change, but we keep going back to our sinful behaviors. We aren’t the person, friend, parent, or child that we want to be. Today is the day you can take a step towards progress.

What dreams have you been pushing off? What passions are you hiding? Today is the day you work towards those dreams. Today is the day you listen to yourself instead of listening to others. Today is the day you listen to the one person who believes in you instead of the 50 who don’t. God didn’t make this day to be average.

What are you afraid to do?

Get up, get out, and go get it!

This day isn’t here just to end. Go make something happen! Be the person you know you can be. Don’t just talk, act.

Here is an excerpt from Tim Tebow’s book, This is the Day.

“This is the day you can see what God sees.

This is the day you can overcome a bad habit or a character flaw.

This is the day that can bring you a step closer to your dreams and goals.

This is the day you can fight for what’s right.

This is the day you can change someone’s life for the better.

This is the day you can change your own life.

Life isn’t just about one day. It’s about this day.”

I appreciate you.
